    The David Rappaport Pages

During this week of remembering David, his family & friends, our friend Mot has taken the opportunity to update the home page of her website.  If you haven't been for a visit to her website, please take a moment to check it out via the link in the paragraph header above.  She has really done an amazing job of showcasing a picture from The Wizard.  Make sure you check out the rest of her site, as well.  It's such a beautiful tribute.

There have also been lovely additions to her Guestbook & David's virtual grave on the Find A Grave website.

I am currently working on a picture page for David & Fran, showcasing some non-Wizard pictures.  I should have those uploaded in the next week.

The Petition List & Memory Page

    . . . and then there were 18!!  Only 1,982 to go.

Thank you, Ann, for adding your name to the Petition List.  Ann was also kind enough to leave a lovely message on the Memory Page, so please take a look when you get a chance.

Once we hit the minimum 2,000 mark it will be time to start contacting 20th Century Fox.  Past petitions have shown that they are not interested in hearing from small groups of people, so we need to show them a united front of support.  It may take a while for this to happen, but we all know it will be worth it in the end.

My sincerest thanks, as always, to everyone who has already signed the petition & left a message in the Guestbook/Memory Page.

    New Link

Dennis Kytasaari has kindly given permission for this website to add a link to The Wizard page on his Epguides.com website.  Mr. Kytasaari deserves special thanks for keeping this page on his site as a tribute to the page's creator, Donna Lemaster, who died suddenly in 1998.  At some point, Mr. Kytasaari may link this page to The Wizard page on TV.com, but we will keep the link to Epguides just the same.

I applaud & support all of the fans who have tried their best to create webpages dedicated to the show, especially since most of these fans might not have had copies of the episodes to work from.  Everyone did their best to compile what details they could remember or from whatever information they had available.  At least they did what they could.  There are some webpages out there that are derogatory, whether intentionally or unintentionally.  Those I ignore.

I would like to continue using this website as a way to link all of the webpage tributes & fans wherever possible.

    Priscilla Weems Update

I am happy to report that Priscilla Weems now has a MySpace page showcasing pictures & some of her songs from her CD.  I will add a link to her page as soon as I have her permission.

    The Party

We are all still excited about the 21st Anniversary Party in September.  Send me an email if you are interested in attending or have any questions.

    Information Overload

I often hear shocked & overwhelmed comments about the amount of information I am striving to include in this website.  The way I look at it, any television show with as much detail, imagination, creativity & love as The Wizard deserves a website which embodies those same principles.  Although it is far from complete, this is absolutely my idea of what a Wizard website should be.  My goal is to give the cast & crew a website they can be proud of.  One that lets them know how much the show has meant, & still means, to all of us.  To celebrate as many facets of the show as possible.  To create a bridge - a link - which might bring everyone together.

For me, creating & maintaining this website is not hard work, it's fun work.  As Simon said to Alex in The Other Side, "Solving problems can be delicious."  I think that is very true, especially if the problem involves something one enjoys, even loves.  Such is the case here.  Honestly, most of the time I feel like Simon in The Aztec Dagger.  Imagine me as Simon & David as Jake Saunders & you'll start to get the picture.  I already have my own pair of black, hi-top Converse All-Stars to prove it.

Visitor Counter & Log

During this past week, the Visitor Counter on the home page has registered 25 new & returning visitors.  The length of the visits or number of returning visits doesn't matter.  It's just fun to see people searching for the site or returning for another look.  We have logged another visitor from France & 2 more from South America - Columbia & Chile.  Everyone is welcome here.

A very interesting fact has been immerging from the data collected by StatCounter.  Even the visitors from outside the US are searching desperately for The Wizard on DVD.  The petition for the show keeps taking on new meaning, as we now have more fans to fight for.

ROCK ON WIZ KIDZ!!!
