To David

I am really enjoying your new show The Wizard. Each episode is imaginative & enjoyable. I can't wait to see the show & you each week. I'm already looking forward to reruns! I'm sure glad I saw the coming attractions for your show or I would really be missing it now.

I think your program's character Simon McKay is a real doll. He is a good example to young people watching the show. he shows a lot of character. If you are half as nice as he is you must be something special. I'm glad you are an actor or otherwise I might not have ever seen you. To me, that would be a loss.

I hope The Wizard will run for a long time.

Whatever happens take good care of yourself & know that someone you haven't met (yet) thinks you're special.

P.S. I'm glad you have Fran Ryan on your show. She is terrific.

To David

It's been quite a long time since I last wrote a fan letter, but I thought I'd try it anyway . . .

I must tell you that I find your character, Simon McKay, very intriguing. His view of life, sense of humor, & world experience touch something in me, & every week I look forward to Tuesday nights, when, for one hour I can enjoy the company (if only through the T.V.) of someone refreshingly warm & caring. It's wonderful to see someone assert his individuality & not be afraid to show his feelings & be straight with people.

The reason I'm writing this letter is to find out whether Simon McKay is merely a character you portray or if he is actually a part of you. What I want to know is how much of the qualities mentioned above are your qualities & not only part of the script? I know that sometimes, in order to portray a character well, the actor must be able to identify with that character. Do you identify with Simon?

To Wizard

I like your show very much. I wish your show started at 7:00 pm because I have to go to sleep at 8:00 pm. The show that I like best is when you & your friend stopped the bomb & you & the bad people wre riding the remote control plane & the bad woman was riding the plane & you crashed with her.

I like your show. It should be on everyday.

To David

I would like to thank you for being one of the most entertaining actors of the season. It is easy to see that you have put much time & effort into developing "Simon".

I love the energy, enthusiasm, expression, warmth & charisma you put into your TV character as well as your movie ones (Time Bandits, The Bride). It is a pleasure to watch you act.

I am looking forward to seeing your performances in future movies & shows.

To CBS

I am writing to let you know how much I enjoy your new series The Wizard! David Rappaport is a delight, as is each adventure we find him in. The show also displays sets of values in ways that young & adult viewers can appreciate.

The stories are so entertaining, they're fun, suspenceful, & seem to leave an impression of hope. Simon never gives up - he believes in himself & he believes in mankind.

I wish I could fully express how much my family & friends love your show. Thank you C.B.S., & thank you David Rappaport, for being such an excellent role model for today's youth. I am looking forward to a season with the best show on prime-time - "The Wizard"!

See you every Tuesday night at 8:00 sharp!

I love your show. It is terrific! I saw your show last Tuesday & I thought it was great. I like the part where "Curt" was flying that really neat futuristic remote control jet.

I have one little sister who likes you too.

I hope they don't take your show off the air because I really like it & from now on I will try to watch your show every Tuesday. I like the things you make on your show.

To Wizard

I have seen your last two shows. My favorite was about the one with the golden remote control airplane. Too bad it blew up. I think your shows are radical. I hope you could send me a model of the plane. I hope your show stays on the television. I think you are neat.

To Wizard

I hope your show stays so I could see it & record your shows.

One of my favorite shows is when you went with a kid to your secret room. I like the cabinet with candy in all those jars. I wish I could control your helicopter by concentrating. That must be neat.

To David

Just a note to let you know how much I enjoy your new television series "The Wizard". I think that it is excellent entertainment.

Generally I don't watch a great deal of television due to a hectic work schedule, & I realize your show is probably targeted for the "younger generation", but I'm 30 yrs. old & find your program & the character you portray appealing.

I have seen several shows that I have thought excellent programs cancelled, & I am hoping that my letter along with the many other favorable responses you must be receiving will add up to make a small difference to the people who manage the financial aspect of your show & help to extinguish any thoughts (if need be)of not continuing with your series.

Wishing you a successful season.
